  • Founder & Executive Director

    Lannie Terry is the Founder & Executive Director of The Gurl Code, Inc. which was organized in 2017, Empowering girls in kindergarten through 12th grade through computer coding and STEM.

    Lannie believes that computer coding, STEM and GIRLS are the future. The skills acquired are not only an integral part of everyday life but are also the keys to bridging the disparaging gender and economic gap amongst females in the STEM & Tech industries.

    In addition to running The Gurl Code on the weekends, Lannie is a fulltime recruiter as well as a proud mother of 2 girls, Laila (20) and Lania (13).


    The Gurl Code, Inc, has been a proud recipient of Fevers Care Fund through the Indiana Pacers Foundation over the years. Also collaborating with Girls Inc. of Indianapolis, The STEM Institute at IUPUI, Central Library and Global Prep Academy.

    Lannie holds a Master’s of Art in Communication concentrating in Non-profit Development and Fundraising from Indiana State University. In her spare time, Lanie enjoys solo travel to different countries, visiting museums and exploring A.I. and new technological innovations.
